Fish Bases

Warmwater Chronicles is proud to announce the addition of a "One of A Kind" product to our shop. The most talented Jr. Burke and his son have begun to make Fish Base vise bases for Warmwater Chronicles. The technical details have not been shared but the bottom line is we have a line of heavy weight, sturdy and stable vise bases for fly tiers who demand a pedestal base but need a vise that stays put.
 
Plus, you don't have to settle for the usual square or rectangle base, our bases are in fish shapes. Currently we have four designs; Bluegill, Smallmouth Bass, Brown Trout and Northern Pike. Plans are in the works for a Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon in 2014. The bases are made of a high impact polymer that resists scratching and chipping. All edges are rounded down and buffed to a high smooth finish.

We have a number of fish bases already made and more on the way. We offer both right and left handed bases. Most of the ones shown below are for right handed tiers but there are a few that have been setup for left handed tiers. Each of these bases is unique so there are identified with a number. When ordering you will need to specify the number of the base you want to purchase. These are offered on a first come first serve basis. If you would like a particular base but need it to be for a left handed tier simply order the base (by number) and specify you need it for a left handed tier. We will match the base as close as we can and send you a photo of the materials we pick for you approval. 
 
At this time we are not doing any customizations to the bases. What you see is what you get. However, we are looking into areas were we can personalize the fish bases more for each individual.

So, now that you have seen these one of a kind vise bases you want to know how to purchase one right? It is simple. All of the vises we have to offer are listed below. Some may indicate "Sold" but remain on the page so that people can see more examples of bases we have to offer. Anyway, each vise has a number and a price listed next to it. Send us an email to info@warmwaterchronicles.com with the vise number you want. We will respond with the total for the purchase (including shipping)  and instructions as to how to pay for the purchase. Once we have received payment the vise will be packaged up and on it's way to your tying table.
