The other day, I found out Ben from Orvis had a fish steal a popper I gave him. I decided to tie another with a couple changes. Long story made short, several have been tied and distributed for field testing. A friend of the site, Patrick, has one and gave it the name of “bloody valentine”. I like the name!
We are not really sure where this came from, hopefully we aren't bending any rules for images. However, this is what Warm Water Chronicles is all about!!! Still no trout talk here!
Bow River Bugger that worked really well on the White recently; needed to fill the box with a few more!
Cecil working on a fly box for a friend!
I had a chance to slip away and do a short float trip with my neighbor Josh on April 24th. Josh struck first with his 1st smallmouth for the 2016 season! All up all in we landed and released over 20 fat rock bass and a few smallmouth. Both of us had long distance releases on a couple of nice smallies; we'll be back hunting for them soon! I was happy to be back on the oars!
Jr. and Cecil recently picked up a couple of NuCanoe Frontier's that needed a little work. Cecil did the work/repair and Jr. added his special touch! Here's the USS Ragin Cajun after Jr's artwork…another masterpiece!
Cecil had an opportunity to slip his leash the other day; in fact, he left the dinner table to go and fish! Fishing in and out of rain storms, he landed over 30 largemouth that were feeding on minnows. Here's just one of the fish he fooled!
If you look close at the following picture, you'll see one of the unlucky minnows!
