This is a call to all fly tiers to lend a helping hand. The St. Joseph River Valley Fly Fishers club will be hosting another Tie-A-Thon this year. If you do not know what a Tie-A-Thon is here is the short definition. A worthy cause needs flies for the people they serve. Fly tiers help out by tying the flies they need and giving them to the worthy cause to use. This year the St. Joseph River Valley Fly Fishers club will be donating all collected flies to the Reel Recovery project. Reel Recovery is an organization that helps men cope with brain cancer. Whether the individual currently has brain cancer or is in recovering, this organization helps them deal with this debilitating disease and bring a little joy into their lives.
The St. Joseph River Valley Fly Fishers club is hosting their event at the Elkhart Conservation Club (55515 Riviera Dr, Elkhart, IN 46514) on March 23rd. You do not have to be present to participate.
