Here in central Indiana fall fishing means two things. The smallmouth will be hot and the Hybrid White Bass will run. Like steelhead fishing up North, the difficulty is being in the right place at the right time.
Jr. and Cecil headed out to lake Monroe this past week to see how things were shaping up with the fall Hybrid bass (a.k.a. Wipers) run. They have not taken off just yet but the weather is getting colder and rainier which means the fishing for these hard fighting bass will be on soon.
They did manage to catch one little bass. Now it is a matter of keeping an eye on the weather and being ready to hit the water when the time is right. Get your gear ready!
